After a 10-year hiatus, Funk Jam is back! Jam out to old-school ’70s and ’80s music with DJ Ray Richardson (KMOJ’s “Back In The Day”) and help the Twin Cities Black Journalists raise money for scholarships for student journalists. Please join us Friday, May 19, from 6 pm to 10 pm, at the James Ballentine Uptown VFW located at 2916 Lyndale Ave. S, Minneapolis.

The party continues after 10 pm with rare vinyl courtesy of Hotpants Minneapolis! There will be a select amount of happy hour cups available for sale for those who want to enjoy happy hour prices all night. Food will also be available for sale. There is limited free parking at the VFW.
