Apply for virtual TCBJ Spokesman-Recorder Internship

The Twin Cities Black Journalists and the Minnesota Spokesman-Recorder have partnered to offer a fall internship to a college student interested in gaining newsroom experience at the oldest black newspaper in Minnesota. The paper’s mission is to provide timely news and information focused on community empowerment and education while championing underrepresented voices. Twin Cities Black Journalists was founded in 1987 by professional journalists who advocated to improve the quality of press coverage of Minnesota’s black community and increase the number of black journalists employed in newsrooms.

APPLICATIONS ARE DUE OCT. 12 BY 5 PM CT.

The TCBJ Spokesman-Recorder Internship will begin the week of Oct. 18 and last eight weeks. The intern will report directly to Community Editor Mel Reeves. The intern will receive a $2,000 stipend paid in two installments.
